An email response to SRA February newsletter

An email in response to our February newsletter:

Dear Chairman of SRA,

Congrats to the newly elected committee.
The Feb. newsletter highlights a number of proactive initiatives that is being taken by the committee and this is a good start.

Regarding the issue of hiring private security guards to patrol our housing estate, I am one of those who are supportive of the idea.
What is important is the cost each house owner has to contribute. If it is a reasonable amount I think we should all chip in so that we have a more secure neighbourhood.
I hope more residents will put in their vote so that the scheme can take off.
But there is bound to be some parasites who just want to enjoy a free ride and this will pose some problem for the majority.

  1. Dear SRA comitee,

On the latest posting in the SSTF blog, while talks are underway with the PDRM and the issues of the security scheme are worked out, is there anything being done about the situation along Jalan 1 and the path to midvalley? I have brought up this matter in the SSTF blog as well as with the old SRA. There is no need for me to attach photos of the situation there anymore as I m sure any resident who uses these roads as well as comitee members should be aware of it. The lighthing along this path as well as the small field near the Japan club also needs much improvement.
As I do not venture deeper into seputeh anymore for fear of my life I have no idea if other areas of Seputeh also face such neglect and lack of planing . Hopefully those residents who live there can highlight them.
I do hope whatever done by Nisha and Midvalley are better thought of. Lets not give criminals more metal grills to steal or create traps for residents.
In the meantime can the new SRA please get DBKL to trim and clear up the area?
    Cheers and all the Best.
PS on the event on Saturday, perhaps the SRA can consider fixing activities in future on Sunday instead.

  2. I don't like the word 'parasite'. There may be some people who are struggling to put food on the table these days...maybe this is just one 'extra bill' that they cannot afford to pay for.
We have to be careful with our words, and generalisations can be hurtful to some!
